Law enforcement sources tell us they were called to a Hyatt near downtown OKC earlier this week for a domestic dispute between Ratray and his girlfriend. Buzz's girlfriend is a girl mentioned in the first Home Alone film. They specifically asked for boys when casting for this role.

Buzz happens to have a girlfriend, which is revealed while Kevin is going through Buzz's stuff. He has a few similarities to Stan Pruitt from Home Alone 3 on account that he seldom bullies Kevin. Being a bully character, Buzz bullies Kevin both physically and verbally.Buzz is more of a verbal bully, mostly resorting to name calling. Examples of these include calling Kevin a phlegm-wad and a trout sniffer, as well as making barfing actions when he bullies Kevin into believing that he has eaten all the cheese pizza that he was supposed to share with him.

Kevin, of course, spits out a "Woof" at the image marking how he thinks Buzz's girlfriend is unpleasant on the eyes. What's surprising about the scene is the person in the picture is related to a member of the film's production. Home Alone is one of the most memorable movies from the 90s, and it is now widely considered a Christmas classic. Although Macauley Culkin’s character, Kevin, is the main focus of the movie, there are other characters who have also left lasting impressions on viewers.
The next time you watch Home Alone, you’ll be able to see this scene from a completely different perspective. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to find any additional information on the movie’s art director, Dan Webster, or his son. However, it doesn’t appear that Webster’s son went on to have a career in the entertainment industry. And looking at the picture again, it does make a lot of sense.

During dinner, Buzz decided to dig in and take upon a whole cheese pizza that he and Kevin were actually supposed to share and he ridiculed to Kevin. After finding this out, Kevin tackled him towards the kitchen island, causing milk to spill towards the entire family's airline tickets. As a result, Kevin was sent to the third floor for the night by their mother, Kate. The intended comedy comes from the fact that the girl in the frame is made to look especially goofy - but it’s not as mean-spirited as you might think.
Everyone is so sensitive nowadays, if Home Alone were getting a remake, it's virtually guaranteed that the joke about Buzz's girlfriend would be completely cut from the movie. But even in 1990, director Chris Columbus knew he couldn't have a girl that age come in and audition for the part. So he had to get very inventive with how he presented this 'very beautiful girl'.
The picture is actually of the Home Alone art director's son
Actor Devin Ratray has finally revealed the big secret behind Buzz's girlfriend. And it turns out that the producers behind the movie knew it was something special and had a long shelf life, so they didn't want to subject any actress to that. The role was actually given to a very eager and willing boy to play. "Home Alone" star Devin Ratray -- who played Buzz McCallister in the flick -- had a spat with his girlfriend that got so bad ... There is something strange about Buzz’s girlfriend’s cameo in Home Alone.
But what if that boy wanted to be a girl his whole life and then as soon as he tried it out, he got called ugly in front of millions of people? Poor kid just wanted to be fabulous and now he has to pretend to like football and arm wrestling just so he isn't tempted to be a girl again. His position gave Kevin an opportunity to irresponsibly prank his brother every festive season by phoning the police and putting in a bogus claim that a child is home alone, as a way for getting revenge for being left home alone twice three decades earlier. Because he was forced to watch Kevin while their mother went out,, Buzz decided to torture him by making him clean the fish tank, take out the bins, where he slammed Kevin's hands. Buzz called Kevin names like "cheese face" and "lamebrain" and held Kevin's feet while Megan sat on him.

Though, we're sure there are a lot of people who will still think it's cruel that any girl or boy is made fun of in such a matter, and it could be argued that the joke is now insensitive to those who identify as trans-gender. At least we can all sleep easy knowing the boy in the photo was okay with making fun of himself for what was a good joke at the time. But perhaps we should take a moment to bow our heads in silence to all those girls who sort of looked like Buzz's girlfriend back in the 90s.
“I think if he had known it would become the highest-grossing family comedy of all time, he might have had second thoughts about it." “The art director had a son who was more than willing to volunteer for the part. " decided it would be unkind to put a girl in that role of just being funny-looking,” Devin Ratray told Yahoo.
I wonder how many ugly little girls auditioned before they got depressed. Cleared payment cleared payment - opens in a new window or tab. We accept all major credit cards, paypal, and Etsy giftcards.
Devin played the character Buzz McCallister in Home Alone - the mean older brother to Kevin. The accuser "got a separate room" and no one was arrested at the time. Two weeks ago, Devin and his now ex-girlfriend allegedly got into an argument that turned physical. Cops tell us things were sorted out once Devin and his gf decided to go their separate ways for the night -- she got a separate room -- and no one was arrested.
Also, just because Die Hard is set at Christmas doesn't make it a Christmas movie. " decided it would be unkind to put a girl in that role of just being funny-looking," Devin explained. The actor's shocking arrest came after he shared he would be a part of the movie's "reunion," set to take place 31 years after Home Alone first aired. Of course, Ratray will live in classic Christmas movie infamy as Buzz, who tormented his little brother Kevin for years to come. The actor recently revealed to People that there was a possible "Home Alone" reunion in the works ...

Home Alone begins with the buzz of the holiday in a home full of family. Set in Chicago, there is snow and cheer as everyone prepares to leave for a family vacation in Paris. Eight-year-old Kevin gets into trouble, is sent to the room in the attic, and is left behind the following morning as everyone rushes to make their flight.
And apparently, the producers of "Home Alone" thought so while filming the scene where Kevin discovers a picture of his brother Buzz's girlfriend. That's why, according to actor Devin Ratray, the image isn't of a girl, but a boy dressed up as one. The "girl" in the photo was actually the film's art director's son wearing a wig, because director Chris Columbus thought it would be too cruel to humiliate a real girl in such a fashion.
